Details:
Athens Ohio Roller Derby keeps the Sweet 16 season rolling with a Double Header on Saturday, June 6, 2026, returning to the Athens Community Center for an afternoon of hard-hitting roller derby!
Doors open at 1 PM and the first whistle blows at 2 PM.
The Appalachian Hell Betties take on Shock & Awe Roller Derby, while the Black Diamond Betties face off against Divergence Roller Derby — two bouts, one unforgettable afternoon.
June is Pride Month, and AORD celebrates a community built on inclusivity, authenticity, and the belief that everyone belongs on and off the track.
A portion of ticket sales from the June 6 bout will benefit the Tablertown People of Color Museum, founded by David Butcher and located right here in Athens County. The museum preserves the cultural heritage and history of Tablertown — a community established in 1830 by a formerly enslaved family — and fosters meaningful conversations about race, lineage, and belonging.
Tickets are $15 at the door or online, and kids under 10 get in free. Volunteers always needed!
