Decoda Chamber Music Festival Artists in Concert

Join us for an exciting celebration of music at the Asheville area featuring two remarkable events: the Decoda Chamber Music Festival Artists in Concert and the Creative Strings Faculty All-Star Concert. The Decoda Chamber Music Festival (DCMF) marks its 12th season with a mission to empower the next generation of artists through exceptional chamber music, creative collaboration, and hands-on projects. On display will be an evening of captivating performances by the 2026 Festival Artists, showcasing strings, winds, piano, and voice. This event is free and open to the public, with donations welcomed to support the Festival and student scholarships.

Simultaneously, the Creative Strings Workshop & Festival, held from June 22–July 3, brings together world-class bowed string musicians under the guidance of renowned violinist Christian Howes. This immersive program includes clinics, masterclasses, and creative workshops, culminating in the Creative Strings Showcase featuring over 20 talented participants performing original solos and ensemble pieces. This vibrant evening will highlight creativity, collaboration, and emerging artistry. Both events aim to foster community connections through music and inspire and educate aspiring musicians.
