Details:
Join us for a unique summer experience at the Autism Creates Pottery Camp, where children in rising grades 3-5 with autism can unleash their creativity! Under the guidance of local ceramist Jessi Gerak, participants will create and glaze their own storytelling bookends using a paper resist technique that reveals beautiful designs. After crafting their pieces, campers will return on Wednesday, July 1 at 1 p.m. to the Lakewood Library for project pickup and to create a simpler second project.
Additionally, we invite you to explore the art of storytelling with Life Savors’ Storytelling Group, where everyone has a chance to share their narrative. Focusing on a "Creepy" theme, this informal group encourages participants to develop and express five-minute stories, fostering connection through feedback and shared experiences. While reservations aren't required, please note that participation is limited to 15 people per meeting. Join us for creativity and storytelling this summer!
