Snack N STEM is a perfect opportunity to keep students age 6+ engaged in learning this summer! Explore a different STEM activity each week during our Summer Reading Program - with a snack! Registration is required for the overall program. Please note on the registration page if there are specific weeks you know your child will be unable to attend due to vacations, other camps, etc. - so that we may accomodate additional participants.6/12: Microscopy -- We will be using microscopes (made of paper!) to explore plants & insects up close and discover what paleontologists learn about dinosaurs on a microscopic level!6/19: Identifying Fossils -- Uncover fossils - then learn how to tell what’s what!6/26: Caves & Sinkholes -- Take a step underground! Explore the different types of caves then build your own model to learn how caves are formed.7/10: Dinosaur Skeletons -- Ever see a dinosaur skeleton at the museum and wonder how they piece them together? Learn all about it then build your own dino skeleton puzzle!7/17: Archaeology vs. Paleontology -- Often used interchangeably, learn the huge differences between archeology and paleontology before embarking on your own archaeological excavation!
