New Temporary Exhibit: We the People

Details:

The Arlington Historical Museum is currently showcasing two temporary exhibits that celebrate Virginia's rich history and community impact. "We the People," opening July 12, is a traveling exhibition from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture that explores the diverse experiences of immigrants who have influenced Virginia’s culture, economy, and identity from the colonial era to today. Through compelling stories, images, and historical materials, it examines what it means to be a Virginian and an American. Simultaneously, the museum presents "Arlington Changemakers 250," which highlights influential local leaders and community advocates who have shaped Arlington's history as part of the Arlington 250 celebration. This exhibit encourages visitors to reflect on their potential to impact their communities, while also featuring the "250 Exhibit: Bicentennial 1976," which commemorates the 200th anniversary of the United States and its influence on public memory. The museum welcomes visitors every Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday from 1 PM to 4 PM.
