Details:
Join us for "Intro to Butterfly ID" with Erin Canter on Friday, August 14, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. This outdoor program offers a walking exploration of butterflies, focusing on how to use field guides and identify key characteristics. Participants will also learn about the plant species that support native butterflies and tips for attracting them to personal gardens. Erin will provide insights on monarch migration and natural history, tailored to the season’s presence.
The event will take place along easy trails and paved walkways, so please dress for the weather as the program will be held entirely outside. Erin Canter is a Southern Appalachian Naturalist specializing in southeastern ecology, with experience in science education and conservation.
