SparkleFizz Science Lab Activity at Glen Helen Regional Park

Get ready to mix, fizz, and explore this exciting hands-on science activity at Glen Helen Regional Park, Thursday, July 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., celebrating the country’s 250 Semiquincentennial anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Bring the whole family and discover how safe and simple food ingredients like sugar and vinegar can create an amazing chemical reaction that looks just like a burst of fireworks.
As you watch your creation come to life, you’ll also learn how chemistry is happening all around us in fun and surprising ways. It’s a colorful, hands-on experiment that blends creativity with science and turns your table into a mini-celebration of fizz and motion!

Glen Helen Regional Parks offers many amenities to enjoy, including fishing, hiking and biking, swimming complex with splash pad, waterslides and new snack bar (open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day). Check website for pool schedules at parks.sbcounty.gov/swim-schedules.
The serene landscape offers open spaces to recreate outdoors with family and friends in safe and clean environment. Pack a lunch or use one of our picnic shelters for grilling and spend the day with us. Leashed pets are always welcome too!

Glen Helen Regional Park is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is located at 2555 Glen Helen Pkwy. in San Bernardino (Devore).
General park admission is $10 per vehicle Mon-Fri, $15 per vehicle Sat-Sun, and $20 per vehicle on holidays.
