The Neenah Public Library's roots trace back to February 20, 1882, when the Neenah Library Association was formed by citizens committed to creating a subscription library. The city officially established a public library in 1884, starting in the old City Hall. As the community flourished, the need for a larger space led to the construction of a Carnegie library in 1904, funded by generous donations. By the 1960s, the library's collection and circulation had significantly increased, prompting a major expansion. In 2000, a new state-of-the-art facility was completed, ensuring continued service to Neenah's residents.
