Hydro Park is a regional park located in downtown Kaukauna, Wisconsin, situated along the Fox River and an old canal. It is a 5-acre park developed by Kaukauna Utilities in collaboration with GRAEF, an engineering and planning firm. The park was designed to be a recreational and activity space that enhances the downtown area, incorporating elements that showcase the historical function of the old canal. Visitors can learn about the city's history of hydropower and the river through interactive educational kiosks and informational granite planks. The park features two large plazas with river stones, a restored three-blade Kaplan turbine, an outdoor performance area, gathering spaces, and trail connections. Hydro Park hosts various community events, including free summer concerts, yoga classes, and benefit bicycle rides. It is part of Kaukauna's larger park system, which includes 35 city-owned parks and open spaces totaling 458 acres. The park offers amenities such as restrooms and pavilions, making it a vibrant part of the community landscape since its opening in October 2015.
