Pine Needle Basket Weaving Workshop | Ages 12 - Adult

Join us for an engaging Pine Needle Basket Weaving Workshop, designed for ages 12 and up, where you can learn the ancient art of coiling that has been practiced by Native peoples throughout history. This hands-on workshop will explore the various types of pine trees and the distinct cultural regions of the US and the Indigenous groups associated with them. Participants will create a beautiful basket using pine needles and sweetgrass, adorned with stones, beads, and shells. You'll also have enough materials to craft a second mini basket at home.
