Details:
Etching is a printmaking process in which lines are incised into a rigid plate to hold ink, which is then transferred onto paper using a printing press. In this workshop, students will create original drawings and etch them into a Plexiglas plate using sharp tools. They will then learn how to ink the plate and print multiple copies of their artwork on paper.
Students will learn: Plate preparation, drawing into the plate (etching), inking techniques, press preparation and safe operation, paper selection, printing on the press, producing and securing a finished edition.
This is a two session workshop. The second session takes place on: Monday, June 29 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM
All materials are provided.
TMA members receive 10% off on all registrations.
