Led by experienced instructor Kellie Adamson, along with talented teenager Calvin, this hands-on workshop will teach the fundamental techniques of crochet, including the Magic Slip Knot, Foundation Chain, and Single Crochet Stitch. Over two engaging sessions, participants will develop fine motor skills, patience, and creativity as they create a colorful bookmark using medium worsted or bulky acrylic yarn in bright colors.

**Chesapeake Treasures Smocking Art Guild Meeting** – The third Wednesday of each month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, join the Chesapeake Treasures chapter of the Smocking Arts Guild of America (SAGA) at Cottonwood's classroom. This group aims to preserve and promote the art of smocking and related needlework. Newcomers are welcome to attend two sessions before membership, where they can explore various needlework techniques such as heirloom sewing, quilting, and embroidery.
