Details:
The "See the Person Not the Use Art Show & Community Conversation" invites local recovery center artists to showcase their work that humanizes the experiences of living with the opioid epidemic. Scheduled for Monday, June 15, from 5-6 p.m. in the Androscoggin Community Room, the event aims to reduce stigma associated with addiction and strengthen community connections through art and dialogue. Artists will exhibit their creations and engage in community conversations. This initiative is supported by Maine's Project to Prevent Prescription Drug/Opioid Overdose-Related Deaths grant, in collaboration with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Spurwink Services. Artwork will be on display on the library's second floor until a specified date.
