Details:
Join us for our July Lunch & Learn as Eleanor Walters explores the life and writings of Emmala Reed (1839-1893), the daughter of Judge Jacob Pinckney Reed. Emmala wrote a series of journals from the 1850s into the 1870s filled with details about her life. Her writings are primary sources that provide insights into the life of an upper-class merchant family during the Civil War and Reconstruction. If you want to know more, bring your lunch and learn with us on July 7 at noon.
