Details:
For the past six years, the People’s Puppet Parade has created intergenerational spectacle theater in the streets of Northampton! Grounded in Jewish diasporic folk art traditions, this community project gathers to co-create original stories, build giant puppets out of trash and found objects, and perform in public spaces, accompanied by live klezmer music and original songs. During the month of June, come visit our interactive exhibit on the parade’s origins, art, and community! The exhibit includes giant cardboard puppets, banners, and props from past parades, as well as hands-on activities and a community memory archive.
Reception: Wednesday, June 10th 5-8pm
