Details:
Led by Local Artist and Color Enthusiast Michelle Provenzano, expand your sensitivity to how colors interact, blend, vibrate, and spread through painting simple patterns in watercolor.
Students will experiment with mixing pigments directly on the paper to get vibrant colors, build up layers of light to dark through glazing technique, and discover nuances in color properties – value, hue, temperature, transparency, and grain. Each student will create 2-3 small paintings with the same pattern. Students will experiment with watercolor paints while in community.
No experience is needed. All materials will be provided, however participants are encouraged to bring their own watercolor brushes if they have them.
This class is for adult students ages 18+
