Details:
Join us for two enriching group experiences: the Tony A. Study Meeting of Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families and Centering Prayer.
The Tony A. Study Meeting is an open forum where we explore the effects of growing up in alcoholic or dysfunctional homes. Meetings take place every Tuesday, lasting an hour and a half. We read from "The Laundry List: The ACoA Experience" on the first, third, and fifth Tuesdays, and listen to Tony A.'s presentation on "why 12 new steps" on the second and fourth Tuesdays. This safe space allows members to share their experiences and learn to re-parent themselves through the practice of the Twelve Steps.
On the same day, participate in Centering Prayer, a contemplative Christian meditation. This practice focuses on a sacred word to help participants consent to God's presence and action within, conducted in silence for a 20-minute period. Centering Prayer sessions occur every Tuesday from 7-8 PM via Zoom. For access, please email Carol Hekman at carol@centeringprayer.org.
Both groups offer opportunities for personal growth and healing in a supportive environment.
