In the heart of Alexandria, you will find First Lutheran Church. For over 150 years, First Lutheran has been a faithful presence in Alexandria. Besides being a center for worship and ministry, it has long served as a place where numerous groups from the community come together and meet. First Lutheran is a welcoming place. The people who gather and make this their church home are every day people, young and old alike, who find joy and purpose in being the church together. Worship is at the center of who we are. You’ll find a variety of approaches to the worship services. Our prayer is that worship would inspire, encourage and enable us to know Jesus better and to reflect his love in our lives. First Lutheran is invested in its ministry to children and youth. Our music program is dynamic and has a long and rich tradition.
