What’s New for 2026
We’ve made several upgrades to improve the competition and overall experience this year:
European-Style Finals Format
Top qualifiers will earn byes into the finals, raising the stakes of qualifying.
Level Playing Field Equipment Standard
To ensure fairness for all competitors, the New Mexico Open will not allow slow oil-absorbing high-performance bowling balls. This policy follows the lead of many USBC championship events.
Women & Seniors Handicap
Women and Seniors (55+) will now receive 8 pins per game.
$5,000 Guaranteed in SMART Scholarship Prizes for Youth competitors
All tournament lineage donated by Tenpins & More, increasing the prize fund for competitors.
