We invite you to visit the Colorado Welcome Center this August to explore a special display featuring the Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center. Established in 1858, Fort Garland stood as a critical outpost during the 19th century, witnessing the complex history of westward expansion, the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers, and the leadership of figures like Kit Carson.
