Over five days, you'll receive personalized instruction in a fully equipped machine room, where your instructor will guide you through selecting lumber, shaping frames with hand tools and router jigs, and creating joinery using both traditional and modern techniques. Participants will construct their own lounge chair featuring upholstered cushions, with an option to build a matching Mid-Century Modern Ottoman for an additional $200. Additionally, under the guidance of experienced chairmaker Luke Barnett, you'll learn essential skills such as riving, hand-shaping, joinery, and steam bending while delving into the design of the Windsor Chair.
