Olympic Day is a global celebration commemorating Baron Pierre de Coubertin's founding of the International Olympic Committee on June 23, 1894. Based on the pillars of “Move, learn, discover—Together for a better world,” the National Olympic Committees deploy sports, cultural, and educational activities aimed at everybody, regardless of age, gender, social background, or sporting ability. Last year’s event was a favorite among visitors of all ages, and we’re thrilled to bring it back! Join us at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum for a fun and meaningful Olympic Day craft activity that blends sport with culture and education to teach visitors about the three Olympic values: Excellence, Respect, and Friendship. Make an Olympic-inspired friendship bracelet while learning ways you can contribute to building a peaceful and better world, starting in your community!
