Learn how and why to keep a trail journal, recording your hikes, bikes, runs, climbs, and other adventures in the great outdoors. Data-focused, filled with poetry, decorated with doodles and drawings—there’s no one way to trail journal! Participants should bring a notebook, their favorite writing utensil, and a paper or digital map. Art supplies such as markers and colored pencils are also welcome.
Author Bio: Emma Grace is a rock-hopping, pond-jumping, sour-candy-eating machine that hikes at the pace of sloth who’s out for a sightseeing tour. She is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam’s creative writing program and has published two young-adult novels and written for several online publications, including AdventureOnSI and Learn.org/ She lives in Potsdam with her partner, Jason, and their cat, Miles, and is on her way to becoming an Adirondack 46er.
