Join us for the next session of Celebrations of the World, a series where kids explore global traditions through lively stories and hands-on fun. Each month, we spotlight a different festival or celebration from around the world and bring it to life through interactive read-alouds and kid friendly discussions that spark curiosity. This session celebrates the Sardine Festival, a celebration held in coastal communities, especially in places like Portugal, where sardines are an important part of local culture and cuisine. The festival typically features music, dancing, street parties, and plenty of grilled sardines, bringing people together to celebrate the sea, tradition, and community life. Come out and join us for our celebration at the library where kids will even get to make some moving fish crafts. We’ll provide all the materials they’ll need.
