Let’s make some rockets!
We’re celebrating International Women in Engineering Day at Spark Science Center! Learn about Dr. Mae Jemison, engineer and NASA astronaut. the first Black woman to travel into space (1992).
Visitors will make straw rockets using paper, straw, and tape. They will learn the science behind a rocket launch and the engineering behind the structure of a rocket.
