Mini Museum: Texas Fossils & Gems (Main Library)

Discover ancient treasures lurking beneath your feet and in your backyard! Join us for a basic geologic overview of Abilene and the State of Texas as a whole. We'll explore sites across the state where gemstones and fossils can be found, plus how to identify and safely collect them. Rockhounding is a great outdoor activity for all ages, but this class is designed for adult participants over the age of 17.
