4th annual Sausage Fest 2026

Celebrate one of Elgin’s favorite traditions at the 4th Annual Sausage Fest in Elgin, Texas, on June 27, 2026. Held at the Lightnin’ Bar in historic downtown Elgin, the Official Sausage Capital of Texas, this free, family-friendly event kicks off at 4 p.m. following the popular Western Days Festival. Visitors can enjoy an afternoon packed with small-town fun, including a lively sausage eating contest, delicious grilled sausage links sponsored by Southside Market & B-B-Q, and a giant waterslide that both kids and adults can enjoy. The festivities continue into the evening with live music from Rian Castillo & Texas Indigo beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Whether you’re competing for the title of Sausage Champ, cheering on contestants, or simply enjoying great food and entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Best of all, the event benefits the Elgin Community Cupboard, helping support local families in need.
